Forest Walk & Birchbark Biting Presentation
Join us for a 3 hour adventure as we snowshoe through the boreal forest with its stands of spruce, birch, balsam, tamarack and willow. We will travel along the shore of Amisk Lake, and talk about the trees and animal tracks we find along the way.
We will then return to the warm lodge for hot chocolate and a presentation on birchbark biting from local Rocky Cree artist Kari Lentowicz of Acimostawin, who creates these pieces of art and shares the traditional practice and knowledge of the birch tree.
