About Us

Nick Ouellet

Nick grew up fishing and hunting in Quebec, then pursued a career in the guiding world. He guided throughout northern Quebec for big game and fishing; before moving west in pursuit of guiding for the world-famous whitetails of the northern Alberta Peace Region.

After some time away working in the oil & gas field industry of Alberta, the lure of the world of guiding and the outdoors led to the decision to purchase T&D Amisk Camp and live the dream, alongside Cindy.

Nick excels at solving problems and finding solutions, so he is always at work around camp.  The many upgrades and renovations have been completely finished by Nick.  If he's not working around camp or filleting fish for guests, you will find him out on the lake 'researching' for the next best walleye spot!

Cindy Ouellet

Cindy grew up in Creighton Saskatchewan, and being in the outdoors was a regular part of life. Travels around the country led to work in the outdoors, and then education in the adventure tourism and outdoor education field. Jobs that furthered her interest in the business of tourism included working at a flyout fishing lodge, hunting camp, outdoor education center, and provincial park system.

The desire to provide an exceptional wilderness fishing vacation experience for others to enjoy, as well as return to the outdoors lifestyle led to the decision to purchase T&D Amisk Camp and live the dream, alongside Nick.

You will find Cindy in the Lodge Office and Store most of the time, as well as the voice on the phone.  Whenever possible, she may also be out paddleboarding, swimming, or sitting on the beach with a coffee.
